T-Ball

4 – 6 years old

Birthday falls between

September 1, 2018 – August 31, 2021

Kids hit off a Tee and transition to the blue pitching machine (Coach pitch) by end of the season.

Recommend at least one year of T-Ball. If your child has never played baseball and is age 6, they will likely play in T-ball, unless they go to assessments and assess well (safety issue). If your child is 6 and has already played T-Ball, your child will likely move up to AA. All 4 & 5-year old’s will play in T-ball Division.

AA

6 – 8 years old

Birthday falls between

September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2019

Kids start off season hitting off blue pitching machine (Coach pitch) and kid pitch (last inning of first four games). Games will transition to kid pitch entirely after week four. If a kid pitcher throws three walks in a row, Coach comes in to pitch to kids to keep the game moving.

Recommend at least one year of AA. If your child has never played baseball and is age 8, they will likely play in AA, unless they assess well (safety issue). If your child is 8 and has already played AA, your child may move up to AAA. All 7-year old’s will play in AA Division unless hand selected by an AAA Team Manager.

AAA

8 – 10 years old

Birthday falls between

September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2017

The entire AAA season is kid pitch with umpires. Kids pitch from 46ft and bases are 60ft. Teams with most wins at end of season will compete for Division Championship.

Recommend at least one year of AAA. If your child has never played baseball and is age 10, they will likely play in AAA, unless they assess well (safety issue). If your child is 10 and has already played AAA, your child may move up to Majors. All 9-year old’s will play in AAA Division unless hand selected by a Majors Team Manager.

Majors

10 – 12 years old

Birthday falls between

September 1, 2012 to August 31, 2015

The entire Majors season is kid pitch with umpires. Kids pitch from 46ft and bases are 60ft. Teams with most wins at end of the season will compete for Division Championship.

Recommend at least one year of Majors. If your child has never played baseball and is age 12, they will likely play in Majors, unless they assess well (safety issue). If your child is 12 and has already played Majors, your child may move up to Intermediates. All 10-year old’s will play in Majors Division unless hand selected by an Intermediate Team Manager.

Intermediate

11 – 13 years olds

Birthday falls between

September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2014

The entire Intermediate season is kid pitch with umpires and “real baseball”. Like High School level – kids can lead off base prior to pitch. Bases are at 70ft and kids pitch from 50ft. Teams with most wins at end of the season will compete for Division Championship.

If your child is 11 or 12 and has already played Majors, your child may move up to Intermediates. All 13-year olds will play in Intermediate Division as they will be too old for Majors. Intermediates is the last age division through CoastLL.
